Camp Operating Group (COG) is unique within the remote camp management industry in that we can design, build, install and manage secure camps without the need to sub-contract any part of the process, from catering to water solutions.

COG can offer the same high levels of service, as found at our highly regarded flagship project, Chelsea Village, in Mogadishu, to other existing camps. This secure and comfortable camp in the MIA zone in Mogadishu can host 144 guests and boasts quality accommodation, catering and security.

COG People

COG teams are trained and experienced for challenging circumstances in under-developed locations. They are patient and ethnically sensitive to working with unskilled and often poorly educated local staff. COG has a policy of ensuring social sustainability within the communities in which they operate.

Catering, our secret weapon

Our chefs are a diverse mix of cultures and nationalities hand-picked not just for their proven ability and passion for cooking, but also their experience in extreme environments. All have served in Iraq, Afghanistan and/or across the African continent. COGs chefs have multi-site experience whether it is on a 10,000 US armed forces camp in Kandahar, a 1000 man iron-ore mine in Sierra Leone or a 50 client cafeteria in the US Embassy in Kabul. They are used to emerging from a bunker and still getting a three course meal with at least four options out and served in time for lunch and dinner.

COG’s in-house design team is able to propose changes to significantly enhance clients’ existing spaces (a dining room, bar, recreational area or accommodation units) and bring a little bit of home into your compound taking out the sterility that is so often prevalent on remote locations.
